Manila, Philippines – EMB National Capital Region conducted the 2nd wave of Environmental Forum at Bacood Elementary School, Manila City, on November 19, 2019, in celebration of the National Environmental Awareness Month with the theme “One Planet, One Nation: Sustaining Green Action for a Safer Climate” National Clean Air Month and Climate Change Consciousness Week. Selected teachers, parents and student from Bacood Elementary School and Andres Bonifacio Elementary School were the participants of the said event.

The activity called “PAMANA” was facilitated by the EMB-NCR staff, led by Ms. Salvacion Aguinaldo-Solis, Head-Environmental Education and Information Unit. The activity aims for a better understanding on how wastes from tributaries end up in Manila Bay and what can we contribute in saving and rehabilitating not only Manila Bay but also environment. On the 2nd part of the forum a resource speaker from Climate Change Division, EMB-Central Office, Ms. Liz Silva – discussed the Climate Change 101, which gave the participants the basic knowledge, how our activities contribute to global warming and how we can help mitigate and adapt to climate.
