Seen in the picture is RD Osorio emphasizing that the Adopt an Estero/Waterbody Program is a collaborative undertaking between and among communities along esteros or creeks and rivers, concerned local government units, private sector and the DENR to achieve a cleaner, safer and healthier environment through the clean-up of the estero of wastes, debris and silt by mobilizing the local communities in cleaning the esteros.  She informed the guests, “EMB-NCR will continue to coordinate and mobilize all sectors towards environmental protection while using its resources sustainably, reducing pollution loading into Manila Bay and Laguna Lake and the rivers & tributaries concerned. Further, to institutionalize Public-Private Partnerships (PPPs) in that we are all responsible and accountable to furthering environmental protection and conservation.” She thanked the new donor partners, De La Salle University and Fuji Xerox for volunteering their support by adopting the creeks/esteros near them.
