This year, the EMB-NCR focused on the implementation of the Continuous Air Quality Monitoring Stations (CAMS) Program, an initiative which facilitates public information on data related to Metro Manila’s air quality. Monitoring stations in various areas in Metro Manila have been installed to provide real-time air quality status which can be accessed through a mobile application AirQ-Met.
On December 20, 2016, the Ayala Corporation expressed their commitment to be EMB-NCR’s partner in the CAMS Program. During the signing of the Memorandum of Agreement to adopt a real-time air quality monitoring or data logger device, the company was represented by Mr. Dindo Fernando and Mr. Jowell Velvel of Ayala Land Inc., and Mr. Michael E. Magposao and Mr. RC Castro of Ayala Property Management Corp.
Said partnership is aimed towards a more strengthened participation of the private sector in environmental management concerns. It is envisioned that EMB-NCR’s partnership with Ayala Corporation will inspire other business establishments to be more involved in programs that are related to Metro Manila’s environment.
