MANILA, Philippines – EMB Director in concurrent capacity as EMB NCR Regional Director, Engr. William P. Cuñado and EMB NCR personnel led the onsite STP inspection and meeting for the Manila Bay Rehabilitation Proposed Plans and Activities at the Sewage Treatment Plant (STP) at Manila Yacht Club, Roxas Boulevard on Friday, April 23.

During the meeting, STP Roxas Boulevard Consultant, Engr. Lito Abuyan discussed the status of the said STP and EMB Site Engineer, Engr. Rodney Diaz presented the proposed plan for the recycling of treated wastewater on the STP.

EMB Director and concurrent capacity EMB NCR Regional Director Engr. William P. Cuñado discussed the future plans for the STP in line with the ongoing Manila Bay Rehabilitation Program. He also express his utmost gratitude to everyone and encouraged them to support the ongoing and future projects and activities for the said program.

Assistant General Manager Generoso Dungo of Laguna Lake Development Authority (LLDA), Engr. Alexander Mohammad of Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA), and EMB newly-appointed Regional Director Martin Jose V. Despi also convey their messages of support for the program and activities of the office.

Other personnel from the participating offices from Manila Bay Coordinating Office (MBCO), LLDA, MMDA, EMBCO Water Quality Management Section, and STP contractor and consultant are also present on the event.

The Roxas Boulevard STP treats the intercepted wastewater from the three (3) major drainage outfalls along Roxas Boulevard Baywalk namely: Faura, Remedios, and Abad.
The said activity was conducted while observing COVID-19 Minimum Health and Safety Protocols (MHSP).
