The IEC campaign of EMB-NCR through the Environmental Education and Information Unit stepped way beyond the ordinary dissemination of its mandate by making a link with Diliman Preparatory School in developing its Science Curriculum from grades 7-10 with the recently concluded Curriculum Hearing at the amphi-theater of the school on 22 May 2018.

Among the highlights of the curriculum hearing is the inclusion of Earth Science and Environmental Issues in the subjects wherein the school amiably recognized the inclusion of Water and Air Quality Management as well as Biodiversity and Climate Change among others in the grade 10 Curriculum.

The curriculum hearing provided an avenue of exchanging rich ideas in the field of science from the different sectors of the society. Then Senator Nikki Coseteng, the School President gave emphasis on the significance of the involvement of other agencies when she said, “ it is not only the aim of the school to provide quality education to the students but more importantly to equip the students with skills and knowledge which they can use practically in life and in searching for a lucrative livelihood.”
