As a kick-off of the National Integrated Waste Management Summit and Exhibit that will be held from June 21-24, a meeting among private institutions was conducted last May 24 at the EMB-NCR Conference Room to provide a venue for possible partnerships with them for the implementation of the event. The meeting was also a way to further encourage the private sector to be committed in providing solutions for environmental concerns as well as to commend them for the environmental initiatives they currently implement in their respective establishments.
Messages from the Assistant Secretary and Concurrent EMB Director Juna Miguel Cuna, EMB-NCR Regional Director Vizminda Osorio, National Solid Waste Management Commission Executive Director Eligio Ildefonso, and Cong. Diogenes “Dodgie” Osabel all emphasized that partnerships are a vital component in the success of all our undertakings. It was also emphasized that the environment is a concern of everyone; therefore, all sectors should participate and cooperate in providing solutions that will resolve the current environmental concerns.
