During the July 29 airing of Tinig ng Kalikasan, it was highlighted that Environmental Education plays a vital role in shaping and molding the understanding of communities, especially the youth, on how the environment affects the development of societies. The airing was in connection to the recently conducted Environmental Education Training of Teachers last July 26 among teachers from various cities in Metro Manila.
It was discussed that school communities aim to strengthen the awareness and consciousness of the youth, because the teachings and learnings they gain in every school day can bring about positive changes to the environment. It was also mentioned that schools have a lot to improve on in terms of relaying information among students, and that the EMB-NCR will greatly help in strengthening the foundation of Environmental Education in Schools.
Invited guests were teachers from Quezon City, namely Ms. Carolyn Simon of Qurino High School and Ms. Micah Pacheco of San Francisco High School.
