A successful life is never an accident, it is a result of good decision, sacrifices, guts and allowing God to live and reign in our hearts so let’s unite, work together for the benefit of everyone we serve!” This is an excerpt from the inspirational message of ARD for Manila Bay Eva Ocfemia of DENR-NCR during the MOA signing between the Rotary Club of Caloocan North Zone 2 of District 3800 and DENR-NCR, EMB-NCR together with Barangays 14,16,18,20 and 22 Caloocan City held at the covered court of Brgy 20, Caloocan City on October 10, 2019. Engr. Oliver Hernandez, the City Administrator of Caloocan  represented Mayor  Oscar “Oca” Malapitan in the program. Some residents of Barangays  14, 16, 18, 20 and 22 were also present.

Opening Remarks on behalf of

The MOA signing is in connection with the Adopt-an-Estero/Waterbody Program of EMB-NCR and in response to the Mandamus Order of the Supreme Court to rehabilitate and restore Manila Bay to SB level. Three (3) creeks namely: Tamban; Tanigue and Talakitok Creeks with an approximate length of 1,477 meters and 3-5 meters wide, traversing Barangays 14,16,18,20 and 22, Caloocan City were adopted.


Also present in MOA signing were: USEC for Climate Change, Anna Liza R. Teh; Engr. Jean Borromeo, OIC Division Chief of EMED; Engr Marivic Quides, Chief of Ambient Air and Water Section; Engr. Oliver Hernandez, City Administrator Caloocan City and Mr. Eric Bernabe Enriquez, President Elect, Rotary Club, Caloocan City.
