Strengthening the IEC campaign on Environmental Protection, Conservation and Management, Mother Nature is now on the Big Screen to dramatically show the public especially the youth the effects of our lack of concern for the ecology.
Nine Schools from Metro Manila swarmed SM Sta. Mesa Cinema 7 to watch video clips about climate change, global warming, water conservation, air pollution and pratical application of the different “Rs” of solid wastes management.
Dr. Rebecca M. Roxas of the Department of Education- Manila facilitated the participation of nine (9) schools with 280 participants including teachers and parents. SM Cares on the other hand, as part of their Corporate Social Responsibility “CSR” ardently welcomes the Green Film Festival through a Memorandum of Agreement signed with Secretarty Roy Cimatu in February of this year.
The participating schools of the August 23, 2018 GFF are as follows: E. Rodriguez Vocational High School; E. Quirino H/S; Valeriano Fugoso National H/S; C.P. Garcia H/S; San Juan E/S; Ramon Magsaysay H/S; Claro M. Recto H/S; E. abada H/S and Earist H/S.
Present during the event were the staff of DENR –NCR who provided snacks for the students, and two representatives of SM Sta. Mesa-Mr. Winder B. Radovan the Operations Assistant and Mr. Jasper Allen L. Lizardo, Building Administration Officer.
