The EMB-NCR is at the forefront of implementing the Clean Water Act where efforts of various sectors are called for so that strategies will be more effective in delivering positive outcomes. The agency fully commits in raising community awareness as it believes that behavioral change towards the environment begins with environmental consciousness. The agency employs various ways in its goal to strengthen the implementation of the Clean Water Act, as such, all sectors are tapped and encouraged to take the challenge of contributing to the improvement of the quality of our water bodies.
In the June 24, 2016 airing of Tinig ng Kalikasan, community members were invited to take part in the conduct of the Orchestrated Clean-Up of Waterways and Rivers that will be held on June 25. Guests during the airing were Ms. Sharoline Silvestre and Ms. Catherine Cayabyab of the Environmental Monitoring and Enforcement Division.
