Quezon City, Philippines – Environmental Management Bureau – National Capital Region, through Environmental Monitoring and Enforcement Division (EMED), conducted a hybrid meeting on the status of the MWSS Water Concessionaire’s Roadmap to Full Coverage of Sewerage Systems on Friday, July 22, 2022, at EMB-NCR Conference Room and via Zoom meeting.

The meeting was presided by EMB-NCR Regional Director Atty. Michael Drake P. Matias and participated by Metropolitan Waterworks and Sewerage System (MWSS) Central Office, Maynilad, Manila Water, and the four Metropolitan Environmental Offices – North, South, East, West officials, and its representatives.

The main agenda of the meeting was to discuss the status of compliance of the Metropolitan Waterworks and Sewerage System (MWSS) concessionaires and the updates in the list of establishments connected to the sewerage system.

The said meeting aligns with the continuous implementation of the Republic Act No. 9275 or Philippine Clean Water Act of 2004 and supports the ongoing Manila Bay Rehabilitation Program.
